The Cast — The People's Court (2024)

A prominent producer, investigative reporter and attorney, Harvey Levin is no stranger to "The People's Court," having served as the behind-the-scenes legal consultant and as Co-Executive Producer for 19 years. As the show’s host and legal reporter, Levin introduces the cases to viewers, and then literally takes "The People's Court" to the people by polling fans who watch cases via monitor. These spirited discussions and debates regarding the cases and Milian’s decisions are then incorporated into the show. Levin also examines and explains the legal issues introduced in each case.

In addition to his contributions on "The People's Court," Levin serves as host and Executive Producer of TMZ and TMZ.com. Levin has made TMZ the go-to place for everything entertainment. Levin has guided TMZ to become one of the fastest growing and most successful brands ever launched on the Internet, and within seven months of its debut, it became the number one entertainment news website. Prior to launching TMZ, Levin served as creator and Executive Producer of "Celebrity Justice," the nationally syndicated, half-hour news magazine.

Before reuniting with Ralph Edwards and Stu Billett, Executive Producers of the original "The People’s Court," Levin spent more than a decade as the investigative reporter for KCBS-TV in Los Angeles. He has also served as a legal reporter covering high-profile court cases for a number of top CBS stations across the country, including the affiliates in New York and Chicago. Levin has received nine Emmy Awards and numerous other local and national awards.

For seven years, Levin was a legal columnist for the Los Angeles Times. Additionally, he has hosted radio talk shows for KABC-AM and KMPC-AM in Los Angeles.

Levin, a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, began his career as a litigator at a prestigious Los Angeles law firm and has been a professor of law at three universities. He has also served as a consultant for the American Bar Association and testified before Congress on behalf of the organization.

Douglas McIntosh serves as Court Officer on "The People's Court." His duties include assisting Judge Milian in maintaining courtroom order, as well as serving as an intermediary between the Judge and the litigants. McIntosh's popularity with "The People's Court" audience has led to recurring roles as police officers on the acclaimed daytime dramas "One Life to Live" and "All My Children."

For more than a decade he made the phrase “Don’t take the law into your own hands – take ‘em to court” one of TV’s most familiar closings, in his role as the host of the storied series "The People's Court." And now, Doug Llewelyn, the legendary court reporter, who worked with Judge Wapner from 1981 through 1994 on the “classic” version of the hit courtroom series, is back in the hallway, interviewing litigants after Judge Marilyn Milian has handed down her verdict.

Llewelyn is a former news reporter and magazine series host for the CBS-TV affiliates in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles. Doug has an extensive background as a creative producer breaking ground in many areas of television, including co-creating and executive producing the two highest rated syndicated TV specials in history – "The Mystery of Al Capone’s Vaults" and "Return To The Titanic … Live."

For the motion picture industry, he co-created and developed the concept of The Electronic Press Kit. The EPK contained unique pre-produced television news stories on the behind-the-scenes process of making movies, which were broadcast by television stations nationwide. Today, virtually every movie that gets made has an EPK. During his break from "The People’s Court," Llewelyn travelled the world reporting and directing news stories, featurettes and TV specials on over 200 major Hollywood productions, including hits such as “E.T. The ExtraTerrestrial” … 007’s "A View To A Kill" … "Rambo: First Blood Part II" … "Conan The Barbarian" and several editions of the annual Academy Awards.

For the past decade Doug has specialized in creating TV productions for corporate America, including such giants as Apple Computer, MacDonald’s, Hallmark, The Shriner’s Hospitals, and others. He has specialized in producing and hosting "24/7 – The Business News Magazine Show." In the process he has created profiles on, and interviewed the chief executives of, well over 1000 companies and professional services throughout the United States.

As for his return to “The People’s Court” Doug has said … “It’s the most shocking and pleasant surprise of my entire career … who would ever have thought I’d be back in that courtroom hallway again? And I can tell you this …the winners are still delighted, the losers are still mad and the audience, as well as most of us behind-the scenes, are still amazed & even dumbfounded by the people we meet and the stories we hear in that legendary courtroom. And I love Judge Milian. She has such compassion for people. She’s amazing … even when she’s mad!”

Doug Llewelyn lives with his wife in the mountains of Western North Carolina near Asheville. The Llewelyn’s have two daughters and six grandchildren.
